Educational activities - through a multitude of activities, glma seeks to improve the health and well being of lgbtq patients by educating providers and all health professionals, patients themselves and policymakers at all levels about the specific health needs of lgbtq people. A central component of glma's educational work is the glma annual conference on lgbtq health, the world's largest scientific meeting focusing on lgbtq health. The annual conference annually attracts more than 500 participants from around the u.S. And world. The confernece offers continuing education credit for a broad variety of health professionals in all aspects of lgbtq health. The 2019 glma annual conference on lgbtq health was held in New Orleans, LA, with more than 600 registrants.
