Capacity technical assistance - nnedv's strength is its network of the 56 u.S. State and territorial domestic violence coalitions. Nnedv provides comprehensive, specialized consultation, assistance, and training to coalitions, family violence prevention & services act (fvpsa) state administrators, and local programs to best address survivors' needs. Supporting our 56 state and territorial coalitions through covid-19 was our top priority during 2021. Throughout the year, the capacity technical assistance team (cta) convened remote learning opportunities, webinars, and peer-to-peer meetings for state and territorial coalitions to ensure that they had the support, resources and information needed to navigate through the challenges that faced them throughout the pandemic. With new federal funding from the american recovery act, and subsequent funding streams such as the covid testing and mitigation, the cta team provided technical assistance to the coalitions and fvpsa state administrators to help them navigate through the regulations, eligible activities, application processes and other details. The cta team convened coalition covid calls, regional (virtual) meetings for coalition leadership, and peer affinity groups for advocates of color, associate directors, fiscal staff, advocates working with children/youth, and communications/PR staff. The cta team organized nnedv's leadership summit, managed the online resource library, and presented at several national or statewide events.

Safety net - safety net focuses on the intersection of technology, privacy, confidentiality, and innovation, as it relates to safety and abuse by advocating for policies, education and training advocates and professionals in the justice system, and working with communities, agencies, and technology companies to respond to technology abuse, support survivors in their use of tech, and harness tech to improve services. By the end of 2021, the safety net team presented over 1,621 trainings to more than 134,699 advocates, attorneys, judges, law enforcement, and other victim service providers on technology-facilitated abuse and stalking, data, and privacy, and using technology safely. Of these trainings, almost 70 were presented in other countries, including but not limited to austria, australia, canada, england, ireland, mexico, and portugal. Throughout the year, the team responded to over 600 requests for technical assistance and created over 20 resources for victim service providers or survivors of abuse. In July 2021, more than 640 advocates, coalitions, technology companies, and other professionals gathered for our ninth annual (and second virtual) technology summit, which explored the ways technology has evolved, including the dramatic increase in digital services during covid-19.The project reaches thousands more people through an organized network of local shelters, state level experts, and national and international networks. Wesnet, the australian national network, has worked closely with the nnedv safety project to replicate and adapt this model. Nnedv is working with the national gbv networks in canada to launch a similar sister technology project. Learn more at: www.Techsafety.Org and http://wesnet.Org.Au/safetynet/
