Pride hockey association (herein pha) supports the washington pride, a college preparatory youth womens ice hockey program. Pha has 4 teams (u19, u16, u14-major, u-14minor) and a skills development program for girls aged 9-12 called pride futures. The u19 team competes in the junior womens hockey league, a league of ice hockey teams from the us and canada. All teams compete against other mid-atlantic boys and girls hockey teams. The purpose of the pha program is to prepare young women for college athletics, academics, and leadership. Pha has nearly a 100% college placement rate.
